WilliamsPhilip Williams is Director of the Center for Latin American Studies and Professor of Political Science at the University of Florida. He received his M.Phil in Latin American Studies and D.Phil in Politics from the University of Oxford in 1986. He is author/editor of five books and numerous other publications on Latin American politics, democratization, and transnational migration. Williams has received a number of prestigious fellowships and grants from Fulbright, North-South Center, United States Institute of Peace, Pew Charitable Trusts, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.
