Ochoa El Tigre Y El Venado / The Tiger and the Deer | Guatemala

Nathalia Ochoa is currently the Program Coordinator and Undergraduate Advisor at the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida. She has strong roots in El Salvador where all her family is from. She moved to the United States at age 17 and has been living here since then.
Nathalia Ochoa has a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies with a Certificate in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida. Her research has mainly focused on the experience and role of peasant women in high combat zones during El Salvador’s revolution. More broadly, Nathalia is interested in the intersections of gender and feminism, social movements in Latin America and development studies.
