Hispanic Heritage Month UF

Opening Ceremony of the University of Florida’s Hispanic Heritage Month wants you to be the shining light in someone’s night. The Hispanic-Latinx community of the greater Gainesville area is invited to feast and enjoy an evening that defines how a little support goes a long way, an idea enforced by Denice Frohman, an award-winning poet who uses her experience as a queer woman from a multicultural background to explore the intersections of race, gender and sexuality to tie together how one should embrace who they are and the opportunities they are given.
