Dr. Alyssa N. Xucker is the Associate Director for UF’s Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research. An associate professor, she is the Vada A. Yeomans Chair of Women’s Studies. Her areas of interest are Discrimination and Health, and Feminist Identity. Her research involves determining how social structural disadvantage affects women’s lives and examining the psychological mechanisms behind social change. Dr. Xucker received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Personality Psychology from the University of Michigan.
